Look at this wonderous piece of equipment. It might look like a blimp but it's so awesome

what do you need to pierce the balloon?

that balloon real capabilities are not what was advertised. a blimp also not as expensive to operate and threatening as an AWAC aircraft.

Another money making opportunity for SAF knn. Leongsam is coming here soon to say money well spent. :oIo:

Just cut the rope and you can kiss goodbye to your new expensive military toy. :D

how much it cost to build and maintain the blimp and ground station? no where in the article state the price.

IMHO, it cheaper to operate than the 3 Gulfstreams RSAF brought for the same purpose.

Whatever the price I have to say it is money well spent as the SAF is a prudent organisation that has good systems in place to ensure that the organisation gets the best bang for its buck.

alternatively, they can put the clown up there...:D

only work in peace time. in war, a salvo of MLRS missiles from our neighbours would render it inoperable.

War renders a lot of weapons inoperable once they are hit and that includes tanks, machine guns, artillery, ships and planes.

The purpose of a well publicised early warning system is to prevent war.

early warning is not that blimp real capability.

And all u need is a shotgun to shoot and puncture the ballon
