Must be a PAP FT pet on scholarship at SMU.

SINGAPORE - A drunk university student who punched a taxi driver in the head several times over a $16.97 fare, leaving him bloodied from a deep cut on his forehead, was sentenced to a short detention order of two weeks on Monday.

In April last year, Zeng Zhuangyong, 25, had alighted from cabby Poon Cher Ming's vehicle after vomiting in it but tried to leave without paying. After the short struggle that followed, Zeng straddled the 54-year-old as he lay on the ground and punched him repeatedly while swearing at him.

The short detention order is one of the community sentencing options under the Criminal Procedure Code, aimed at giving more flexibility to the courts. It is less disruptive and stigmatising than jail.

Zeng, then a student at Singapore Management University, pleaded guilty to hurting Mr Poon along Lorong 4 Toa Payoh on April 28 last year.

Scholarship as free gift from PAP using Sinkies tax monies. The end result - the receiver whacked the giver out of this country resources. This scenario has happened many times and won't be the last as long as PAP continue to preach pro-ft gospel.

It is very sad for every sinkie to read this kind of road rage where taxi drivers are whacked unreasonably and the attacker is a foreigner who got light sentence for his crime.

If a sinkie does not feel angry, disappointed and pissed off against the papees for not punishing the foreigner severely with caning and harsh jail term, he is not really a sinkie.

No wonder foreigners are getting out of control in this country. The papees are responsible for encouraging foreigners to run wild.

A more detailed background check on this scum may reveal the truth why he gets a light sentence.... is he someone whom Singapore is afraid to offend...?? Some scion from PRC.? He seems to get off lightly for his violent behaviour.

http://www.todayonline.com/singapore/man-jailed-punching-cab-driver

A Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) student has been handed a three-week jail term for punching a taxi driver in his drunken stupor.

Tan Jian Liang, 24, had boarded the taxi at Boat Quay in mid-January this year, at about 1.40am. He instructed 65-year-old Seah Teck Kim to drop him off at Choa Chu Kang Crescent and fell asleep.

When Mr Seah got to Choa Chu Kang Crescent, he parked his taxi by the road and tried to wake Tan up to find out which block to drop him off.

But the taxi driver ended up getting chased by Tan around the taxi, pushed to the ground and punched repeatedly.

Another charge of damaging the NETS device in the cab was taken into consideration.

The court heard that Tan compensated the victim S$515 and also paid about S$335 for damaging the NETS device.

In mitigation, Tan, who was unrepresented, told the district judge he truly regretted his actions and pleaded for leniency.

But District Judge Lim Keng Yeow noted the offences were “very serious” although Tan is a first-time offender. CHANNEL NEWSASIA

Yes, the name is very unusual for a sinkie born name, most likely from China. Seems like he has been here for a while, Might have gotten a scholarship to enter secondary school here and than got shitizenship. He keeps referring to singapore as our country, and to the fact that singapore was a "sleepy fishing village". Only indoctrinated FT assholes believe that. real singaporeans would have been told by their elders the fishing village story is bullshit.
