Monetise life insurance asset. People's house have to monetise in old age, why not monetise people's insurance? I read before last time some countries can do this to sell off to interested party to collect big winning upon death of the insured.

This will help to reduce the burden on govt to take care of elderly, should be a good idea to PAP? I support PAP to implement it quickly, very good for people with life insurance but no dependants. Very wasted to terminate life insurance with cash value much lower than the sum assured.

what u think CPF and medisave is?they are PAPPEEtised version of annuities and life insurance.

So... if we have no insurance, what are the pappies to monetise? Their assholes? ;)

Wrong. They will ask you to monetise your time if you have no house or insurance to monetise and no money. In other words, work till you die lah. Isn't that the case now?

Cpf is for govt to keep. I am talking about our own life insurance policies that we can monetise by selling them to interested parties. Of course we can do private arrangements but risk of kena murdered by the buyer so that they can claim. So govt can set up some exchange to allow us to sell anonymously.

I just checked Wikipedia, it is called "traded life policies". Basically sell at a price higher than cash value but lower than sum assured. We can stop paying our premium. That is, instead of terminating life policies at cash value, we sell them to buyer at higher price.

Isn't this a great idea for PAP? The more asset for us to monetise the lesser the burden on the govt. Sounds to me same concept as monetise house via reverse mortgage, basically selling off interest in house and insurance to fund retirement needs.

Singaporeans are the best! Which other country people will be so gracious and welcoming to foreigners until they overrun the country THEN START TO KPKB?

In other country with so much space to spare that no way foreigners will overrun the country, people already KPKB and blame foreigners for everything!

You know that if we had the right to bear arms like in the US, the government won't be inviting so many foreigners, and the foreigners won't walk on the street so arrogantly, after all, if what may occur is they smash your car windscreen, and you put a bullet between his eyes, suddenly, smashing someone's car windscreen doesn't sound a very attractive proposition after all.

After all, these days the SPF become so useless, their hands are always tied, they cannot make an arrest, they can only write a report for you, if you choose to make one, which is barely worth the paper it is written on. Then our courts also lagi best, damn lenient to a certain group of foreigners. So how can we depend on them?

Wow very good job. I will quickly craft the policy when is the time to sell my life policy. Or in countries with property gain tax, abolish it when I want to sell property. Or abolish the real estate duty when inheritance on the way.
