My take on this.

What is the context in which this clip is shown?
The slap was more akin to a strike across the face with the intention to cause physical injury.
The guy has a right to defend himself by retaliating. IMHO, he was acting in self defence.
The girl is just behaving like a bitch bully and deserved what she got.
