I guess most do not go SC as need to pay the high cruise charges, might as well just pay levy to go IR. Or do you have free cruise or redeem via rws points?
I think these are lousy odds, never seen such insurance odds.
When I was playing at LJ or RWS, the insurance odds are
6 points- 1 pay 3
7 points- 1 pay 4
8 points- 1 pay 7
9 points- 1 pay 8 tie pay
Good to buy some insurance if you are playing big bets, otherwise..just fight!

I think you are right about SC Gemini. In Penang SC Libra and Amusement World are both doing fabulously there. Libra seaport tax is RM68 and I think AW is half that. Gemini seaport tax is much higher than Leisure World. I pay with GP and for me it cost me very little. Maybe not the same for other people. Gemini is doing very badly in SG.
The LW cruise is a really old ship, the cabins and all are much overdue for a makeover!
So I wouldn't mind going SC if they offer free/discounted/rebate cabins, I'll gladly pay the seaport tax.
Can double up as a holiday cruise cum some gaming, plus free food!
But no idea how to go about it, so never tried.
Guess it's also convenience, wanna play just drive to IR, easy access.

Gemini has a program where if you get 12 GP you get 1 free cabin night. For bac if you flat bet you will theoretically lose $13.5 per GP.
I go on the Libra to get my GPs. You get 1 free night for every 10GP but you are paying in MYR. So effectively you are paying $5 per GP. For the popular 3N cruise to PG & LKY it will cost me 30 x $5 i.e. $150 for this cruise on the Gemini.
Nowadays with the low cost airline you would pay just over $100 for a return SG-PG ticket.

To me, this insurance thing is just another way to increase the house odds, same like banker tax.
So only those 1 pay 3 or above I will consider.
Eg- 1k bet on 7 points, insurance at 1 pay 4, I'll just cover 200/250. But not always though, will only buy insurance pending my gaming form and also that of the table.

But im very curious to know that the odds for both player & banker are the same except when it comes to 4pts,player gets 1 to 1 payout n banker gets 1.5 payout
I reckon could be due to probability,house odds, whether the need to draw third card etc.
Just like there's only banker 5% tax but none for player, or banker 6 half payment but none for player.

Another trend i noticed is some punter will use a 1k capital and once they win around 30% they stop...and this continue for another 2~3 days... but when they lose,not only their capital are gone they still either went to atm or resort to borrowing.

As for the bed bugs, I wouldn't dare lay on the bed. Unless really tired, I'll use the towel provided by them to put on top. Once I even brought my own set of bedsheets and pillow case! The other thing is the towel, I always bring my own or just buy from the shop there. :p

I adopt a cut loss method, if I win right from the start, I'll leave.
If lose the BR, I'll try to fight back with backup BR. Once I recover to breakeven, I stop.
