Bad Hospital Food

Sounds familiar?

"Do you want three meals in a hawker centre, food court or restaurant?"

I am sorry... A big NO... I don't think Singapore casket give discount to PIONEER!!!:D

PIONEER card no discount for that? go Geylang show card can get 50% off?? PIONEER status mah!!...how about FREE ZOO visit, FREE BIRD PARK, FREE caSINoes visit??:D

So you have any complain on the quality or grade of the oxygen???:D

Almost had another heart attack when I saw the final bill because all I received was oxygen & observation in the ICU.
I could have slept in my own bed for free & I think the oxygen was really unnecessary. Just another reason to charge me.

While I was hospitalised in Edmonton Canada I was fed very well. Patients get to choose what they want from a menu. For breakfast you can chose different juices, oats, bread, etc. For the main meals you can choose fish, roast beef, lasagne,..etc. The menu varies each day & you don't see the same items as it rotates for about every 14 days.

In the menu I could also choose ginger beer. After talking to the nutritionist I was also able to get milk shakes everyday:D
A good diet is necessary because I was recovering from broken bones & if you didn't have diet restrictions they didn't stinge on the food. On the menu I would often specify double portions & I got it:)

They also had afternoon snacks like juices & sandwiches. Everything was covered by the provincial health care insurance. I ate better in the hospital then I did at home because I was a terrible cook:o I didn't gain weight because I had 4 hours of physio each day. 2 hours in the morning & 2 hours in the afternoon.

Have many good memories of my hospital stay there, considering I was injured & in pain. The staff were also great. When I checked out some of them offered to help me with them groceries because I was still using crutches:o

This is why I am so critical of the Spore hospital system. I am paying more in Spore & yet the experience is so inferior compared to Canada:(
