what a load of pure bullsh!t. this council is run of the mill type. just donate some money and they elect you. Just like thousands of virtual run of the mill universities and crap councils you get nowadays churning out millions of pseudos doctors and PhDs and fanciful title.
according to my friends there are literally thousands of such crap research councils chaired by dubious scientists and bankers, this International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) is one of them. no big deal, the council members are all a joke and nobody in the world of stem cell research.
the very fact that her husband (a banker) was elected as co chair means something is very fishy and dubious here. what does a banker knows about stem cell research??? only talk c@ck . bankers are the most shittty people in the eyes of the academia world. she herself was convicted of overcharging and cheating/even inflatiing her colleagues bills by SMC. thats's a fact. only respected researchers would get themselves into proper respected organisations like fellow of the royal society, Wellcome Trust - Medical Research Council or AAAS.
