A four year old boy was injured after a big glass door fell on top of him at Westgate mall in Jurong East today.
One of the large glass entrance doors had come off its hinges and fallen down, reportedly pinning the young boy on the ground.
The glass door, which is about 3 metres tall and located just outside the NTUC My First Skool Childcare centre had fallen on top of the boy.
The incident occurred just after 6pm on the 5th floor where the door lead to the outdoor area.
The boy suffered some cuts and bruising on his face. He also suffered one fairly large cut to the back of his head and was having neck pain.
There was some blood seen on the ground near where he was lying.

The glass did not shatter into many pieces as it is tempered but the heavy door still injured the 4 year old boy.
A doctor from the clinic on level one and two staff members from a nearby kids club were seen performing first aid on the boy.
The young boy was sent to NUH shortly later, still conscious.
A Westgate Mall spokesperson later told the media that the door had broken becuase the young boy had swung it open too far causing the door to hit against the frame and shatter.
UPDATE: Westgate mall management has shared CCTV footage of the moment a glass door fell, hurting a four-year-old boy.
