Don't be happy to see the thread. PM take LRT during morning peak not PM LHL but Malaysia PM A. Badawi.
He just found out the truth when he take LRT 8.15 am what a bad service and system Malaysia LRT.Here some of the point.
1. To pack he even need to wait for the second train.
2. Not one greet him in LRT station(LRT station PIC or worker)
3. He saw some young people push old people just to get in the train.
4. Train not enough and too short( Putra LRT only have 2 cart I personally have ride on that before really very short)
5. Waiting time very long.
6. At interchange he have to wait for the 2nd train because 1st train too pack, I guess he will need to take 3rd/4th trainif he not a PM)
Many more

PM unhappy with Komuter, LRT services (Update 2)

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi took rides on the commuter and LRT rail services from Serdang to the city centre Thursday to get a feel of the transportation problems faced by the people and came away less than satisfied.

Throughout the one-hour journey, during which he switched trains, the prime minister noted the congestion, especially during the peak hours, and spoke to his fellow passengers to get their feedback.

Speaking to Bernama after disembarking at the Masjid Jamek LRT station, he said he was not satisfied with the rail services and wanted immediate improvements to be made.

He said the existing services were not systematic, there were not enough coaches and coverage was not comprehensive, leaving many areas not serviced.

“I just saw the plight of people using the trains to get to work every morning. They were jostling to get on board every time a train arrived. There appeared to be no system.

“I’m not happy with this because the people are not getting satisfaction from riding the trains. This, we must fix,” he said.

“I found the trains really packed with so many passengers. Some had waited for three trains and yet could not board. “There’s no queue. People push their way in, women with children and old people are pushed aside,” he added.

Abdullah arrived at the Serdang Komuter KTM station at 8.15am but could not get on board the first train that arrived because it was packed.

He got on the next train, which arrived 15 minutes later, and headed for KL Sentral, the modern transportation hub for the various rail services.

There he also had to wait a while to switch to the Putra LRT service to get to the Masjid Jamek station because again, the first train to arrive was full.

On both the trains that he took, the prime minister had to stand although the passengers offered him their seats.

Upon arrival at the Masjid Jamek station at 9.15am, he chatted with members of the the public and bought several types of local cakes from the sellers there before leaving.

“There were many more suggestions given me by the passengers for my attention. I will strive for improvements, I will propose changes,” he said. – Bernama

What a good Malaysian PM, so diff from the incapable sinkie one.

Don't be too quick to praise. He knows he's in danger of losing power, and now is cosying up to the people. This should be a monthly requirement for all ministers!

But he still beats our excuse for a leader.

According to PM Lee's theory, based on population, Malaysia have to win 5-6 medals and Thailand have to win 18-20 medals, in order to be comparable to Singapore winning 1 medal. China have to win about 300 and India have to win about 250.

I agree with you this time. Those who agree with him are Sinkies. Those who ignore him are Singaporeans.

LOL!!! YOu mean he really says that? LOL!!!!

Even if Malaysian win one bronze, it is much better than the sinkie silver table tennis, The malaysia who won it is from a TRUE MALAYSIAN who is born in Malaysia.

How much more does LHL gonna shame his own intelligence, family and the country.. There seems to be no limit.

You have to be very fit to travel the commuter train, LRT train in Kuala Lumpur, most of the daily commuters are very fit people; for I have used both the systems, whenever I am in KL, plus the monorail. One thing, it sure beat the traffic jams.

During peak hours, the commuter trains, monorail are packed like sardines, they have a self imposed queing system, that is, the commuters, queue in line to wait for the train to come, but when the train arrives & the doors open...it is every living Malaysians or aliens or...for themselves. Forget about giving your seats to the elderly etc.., it is every person for themselves, when coming to sitting, but I have seen people offering their seats to those in need, without asking.

If it was LHL testng out the MRT trains...they will search cleans every station on the line he is on, etc.....and there will be a media circus...

We can not compare KL with Singapore, but on the average, the Train network though not so well planned, and not so good in interconnection between lines etc., works admirably well...

Even though it is a 'wayang show' by Badawi...at least, he put up an acceptable show...

I am sure , our rayman limp...would not dare to do this...
