PAP has reduced its payment to GMS, demoting him to Senior Colonel. So, he has to cut costs too.
root of the problem has to do with more passengers carrying too many bags as carry on. these are usually those who think they are on business and have to carry a large carry on plus a laptop bag plus either a backpack if they are men or a handbag if they are women. and they are usually old fashionistas who are stuck in the 80s in their wardrobe and haven't caught up with packing less and doing away with their heavy bulky laptops. every time i see them at the gate, my eyes roll. they clog airports with their luggages and bags and quickly fill up cabin overhead bins with their oversized junk. and airlines offering free carry-on's up to 2 bags have to constantly remind these morons to reduce their number of bags. often, airlines have little choice but to check their bigger bags anyway at the gate when flights are full. it's only right that airlines penalize these bunch of inconsiderate buffoons.
for me, 2 smartphones, 2 ipads, 1 macbook air, 1 change of underwear are all i need for carry on.
That explains the overwhelming odour on that SQ flight from SFO to SIN.![]()
Is it wise for Tiger Airways to get on the wrong side of a potential future Prime Minister of Singapore?

This will be most probably my last time taking Tiger Air and now I know why their business is going down hill.
They have subtly changed their rules, making us believe that they have increased the hand carry luggage weight from 7 kg to 10 kg but in fact this increment comes with the inclusion on ALL carry in, inclusive of laptop bags or handbag. Most laptop with bag will weigh more than 3kg.
I have been a customer for over 10 years but was caught in this situation. If I have known this scheming technique, I would have bought the check in luggage in advanced which will cost only about $25. But instead now made to pay more than double for the check in which amount to $60 !
For a ticket of less than $140 to pay $60 for a mere 10kg check in is really daylight robbery!
This will be my last flight with Tiger.

LKY couldn't govern Malaysia, settle for sinkapore. Senior Colonel GMS will settle for Pulau Sudong or Sisters island.
Wtf are you opening some electronic store. Of course you don't check in your electronic equipment that much i know. I also know you cannot check in lithium batteries which the macbook should have and maybe the ipads and the smartphones have that too. Might i ask what brands those 2 smart phones are? Iphone by any chance?
