[h=1]FISH TESTING AT 124 TIMES OVER RADIATION LIMIT CAUGHT OFF FUKUSHIMA[/h]

Fish with deadly levels of radioactive cesium have been caught just off the coast of Fukushima prefecture, as scientists continue to assess the damage caused to the marine food chain by the 2011 nuclear disaster.
One of the samples of the 37 black sea bream specimens caught some 37 kilometers south of the crippled power plant tested at 12,400 becquerels per kilogram of radioactive cesium, making it 124 times deadlier than the threshold considered safe for human consumption, Japan's Fisheries Research Agency announced.
The samples were caught at the mouth of the Niidagawa river in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, on November 17. Two other fish caught there also tested non-safe for human consumption, showing radiations levels of 426 and 197 becquerels per kilogram. The rest of the fish were reportedly within safety limits.
Black sea bream are currently restricted from being fished in Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures and sold for human consumption, as scientists from the Fisheries Research Agency say they plan to investigate the source of the contamination further.
After the Fukushima disaster, Japan lowered its threshold for cesium levels in food from 500 becquerels per kg to 100 becquerels per kilo, making the country’s regulations six times stricter than European Union standards. The record cesium reading was recorded last year when a fish caught near the plant carried 740,000 becquerels of cesium per kilogram.

PAP’s GENOCIDAL POLICIES TOWARDS SINGAPORE WORKERS THROUGH Free Trade Agreement. (the real reason why PAP lifted the ban on imports of unsafe food products from Fukushima prefecture ).
In exchange for Government Linked Companies to operate in India, the PAP sacrificed the jobs of more than 200,000 Singaporean PMETs by allowing Indian workers and companies to operate in Singapore. These companies then hire their fellow countrymen directly. All of this is done in the name of FTA’s.
On the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue, PAP’s Lee Hsien Loong told Abe, PM of Japan, that the ban of unsafe food products (evidenced by the many cases of radioactive-caused cancer) from Fukushima prefecture will be lifted.
The real reason for lifting the ban is PAP wants Japan to be a partner of the Trans Pacific Partner free trade agreement. As Lee Hsien Loong said “…. from a strategic point of view, it was "very important" that Japan be in on the TPP. You have to maintain that link with Japan, and if you leave them out from the TPP, or drop them, having invited them to negotiate, I think that's very bad,"”
Never mmind about the health hazard to people eating nuclear contaminated food, as long as the PAP profits from the TPP, who cares?

More than 48% of 375,000 youth (i.e. nearly 200,000 children), who were tested by the Fukushima Medical University near the smoldering reactors now suffer from pre-cancerous thyroid abnormalities, primarily nodules and cysts. The rate is accelerating, the report said.

Act for Singapore

sinkie gals need to grow breasts with real nipples and sinkie guys need to grow extra pairs of balls anyway, so it's all good. :p

The only way to stop the import of Japanese fish is to avoid patronizing Japanese restaurants. If sinkees can't do that, then they deserve to die of cancer from contaminated food from Japan.

sinkie fish mongers would love to sell fish with extra eyes for aunties who love to suck more than 2 sockets. :p

The real reason why Lee Hsien Loong lifted the ban on Fukushima food products was to push forth the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Singapore and Japan (both USA's bitches of Asia) are the only two countries which are spearheading the TPP. Other countries in the region are pushed and cajoled, more reluctant and still negotiating.

The TPP is more than just a regional trade agreement: it is also a strategic alliance between the pro-US countries in Asia to form a bloc against a rising China.

I am not making this up: Shanmugam had pretty much blurted out the agenda in front of his Jewish masters at Washington DC.

WASHINGTON DC: Singapore's Foreign Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam is currently in Washington DC for a week of meetings with key US leaders, but he has also spoken in a slightly more unusual setting -- the American Jewish Committee Global Forum.

The forum has become something of a platform for international figures to air their views on world events, and Mr Shanmugam used his address to discuss the need for the US to deal with a rising China.

The forum is a chance for Jews from across the US and the world to come together to meet leading international figures, and discuss their views on global events.

This year, to reflect the Obama administration's continued rebalancing towards the Asia Pacific, the committee wanted to hear not just from an Asian country, but from one with consistently strong ties to Israel.

That is why they invited Singapore's foreign minister.

Shira Loewenberg, director of the American Jewish Committee Asia Pacific Institute, said: “The concerns of the Asia Pacific region and those that are of particular importance to Singapore are our concerns as well.

“We support a peaceful Pacific region -- recently there have been tensions there between many Asian countries.”

And those tensions were certainly picked up on in Mr Shanmugam's speech, which was unflinching in its assessment of the challenges America will face as China becomes more dominant.

Mr Shanmugam said: “While Washington and Beijing may use similar terms and words, it is not clear that they both mean the same thing. Tensions, spats in the East China and South China Seas are an indication of how these dynamics work.

“The United States is trying to urge all claimants not to resort to aggression and ask for a reduction of tensions. To some extent, this reflects the new reality. The United States now needs the co-operation of others, and asks for it.”

But he was also clear about the potential benefits to the US of closer economic ties to the region, especially through the still-to-be-finalised Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

“US engagement in East Asia and the Trans-Pacific Partnership will be game changers. For the United States, the TPP alone will create nearly 700,000 new jobs by 2025.

“Every thinking American has got to be thinking about this,” said Mr Shanmugam.

Mr Shanmugam ended his speech at the AJC forum by quoting the ancient Chinese curse – “may you live in interesting times.”

With the current rise of Beijing, and the need for cool heads to deal with it in Washington, he said these are indeed interesting times, but ones that could also lead to ever more fruitful partnerships between the US and Asia, in what he called the “Pacific Century” to come.

So importing radiative food to feed Sporeans is the key to this partnership??

This is why I never believe politicians are any smarter than the average person.
