Boss Sam will be happy: Ho Ching receives Asian Business Award

congratulations! what about the other ho? she deserves the asian bushy award. :p

I rest my case. I've been telling you guys over and over again what a capable woman she is. Asia House, a completely independent organisation, agrees with my assessment of Mdm Ho 100%. It's good to be vindicated. ;)

This also proves that Roy Ngerng is a load of bull with ludicrous accusations.

The Trustees of Asia House are delighted to announce that Ho Ching, Executive Director and CEO of
Temasek, will be awarded the 2014 Asian Business Leaders Award at a gala event to be held at Westminster’s Banqueting House on Monday 27 October.

The annual Asia House award recognises those individuals who embody the ‘Servant Leader’ – economic success and professional excellence accompanied by moral leadership and service to society. Ho Ching was selected to receive this year’s award because of her impressive business credentials and her significant efforts to inspire a commitment in others to improving society.

Asia House is a centre of expertise on Asia and the leading pan-Asian organisation in the UK.

Sir John Boyd, Chairman of Asia House, said: “We are extremely pleased to honour a business leader of the stature of Ho Ching, who has brought so much renown to Temasek and her industry in Asia. Ms Ho has demonstrated deeply impressive achievements in business whilst maintaining a dedication to the highest standards in corporate governance, transparency and leadership. We look forward keenly to honouring her at The Banqueting House in London in the established tradition of the Asia House Asian Business Leaders Award.”

Temasek Executive Director and CEO Ho Ching said: “I was surprised to receive this award from Asia House, and thank them for the honour. This is really a special recognition for the team in Temasek, past and present. I’m privileged to accept this award on behalf of the Temasek team, who are committed to the ideals of being a responsible long term investor and steward, combining the discipline of being an active investor looking for sustainable long term returns, and the responsibility of being a trusted steward for past, present and future generations.”

Previous recipients of the award include Azim Premji, Chairman of Wipro; Lubna Olayan, CEO of the Olayan Financing Company; Ratan Tata, Chairman of Tata Group; Jack Ma, Chairman and Founder of Alibaba.com and Vikram Singh Mehta, Chairman of Shell India.

Evil people get praise so long as their actions help good people. That's the world. For HC, her neoliberal and reckless spending and investment is exactly how Western businesses operate. So of course, they love her.

there's never a fully rational explanation. Same why the West hates some dictatorships (Myanmar, Cuba, Syria) while loves Sinkieland.
