At least 1,300 millionaires from mainland China have decided to sue the Canadian immigration authorities after the country decided to terminate its immigrant investor program for which the complainants had applied. Each of the complainants is asking for CAD5m (around USD4.57m) in compensation should the Canadian government continue to refuse to assess their cases.

This 1.3 billion will cause the place to become more expensive. Simply because they are pushing up the cost of single thing in this country.

Housing cost will soar
Rental of housing will soar
Restaurant Foods costing will soar.
Overall cost of living will soar with so much money in such a short span of time

They should selectively allow 1/4 to come in. Keep the country from going into hyperinflation or keep the country out of deflation.

I've talked to some Canadian immigration officers & they actually care about who they let in. The fact they have stopped accepting rich "PRC" chinese doesn't surprise me. When rich hongkies 1st started pouring into Vancouver before 1999, they caused friction by buying houses & then demolishing them to build mansions

The concern they have is with the chinese are those with connections to the triads.
Sporeans who have visited Canada are in fact surprised by the number of "lesser mortals" that are being allowed into Canada. With the recession they will of course cut back on the numbers.

Wherever the tiongs go, the triads and their criminal activities follow. Canadian Govt must have realised crime involving tiongs escalated. Is SG already infiltrated by triads from China? Are they behind the ah longs in SG?
