Legal question on roy ngerng case

Ive always thought that when an individual publishes something deemed as inappropriate, the plaintiff issues a lawyers letter known as a cease and desist. And if you comply, the matter ends there. Only if that is ignored, does the plaintiff proceed with suing.

In roys case i did not read about any cease and desist order.

Or did i get it wrong?

There are so many people online or fb defaming each other, why is it that LHL can sue people and other people cannot or didn't sue each other ? Correct me if I am wrong, is it only elite with prominent are entitled to sue people for causing grief or possible lost of their income ? E.g. I say Tonychat fuck ladyboy, can he sue me for defamation ?

Im no pr expert but shouldnt the plaintiffs only priority be to have the post deemed as defamatory removed?
And warn of the losses they (the plaintiff) will suffer as a result of the material....plus the consequences for the other party if not complied with.

If that was done, theres a good chance roy wouldve gotten spooked and removed the post....or if he had wilfully ignored it, then the plaintiff would now be occupying a higher ground....and a little more support perhaps.

But since they skipped foreplay and went straight to insertion, the plaintiff has landed in a bit of a hot pr pickle.
