There could me so many reasons, I think it's very romantic because it is do commonplace.

Cos the place is air conditioned. Outdoor shoot sure sweat like hell. Easy on the pocket, easy on the photographer, easy on the couple, easy on the pocket, free publicity for the place. Everybody wins!!!

It is their wedding, they decide how they want it done. It may get in the way of people doing their regular groceries, but then, so do other wedding photo shoots in public areas. I suppose they just want to be different from the rest. Romantic or not, it is up to them.
