A Malaysian auxiliary police officer, Kalai Selvan Ramaiya, 28, was sentenced to 6 months in jail today for insulting the modesty of women in lock-up.
Kalai was working for Aetos and posted at Jurong Police division lock-up in October last year.
During his time there, he had asked several women to show him their bras. On October 1[SUP]st[/SUP], he had insisted that a 41 year old Indonesian woman show him her bra. He had said that it was a necessary check, even though this was not true.
The next day, he asked two women, aged 21 and 20 to show him their bras. The 20 year old woman lodged a police report about Kalai’s behaviour the next day and he was caught.
The court heard that the women involved had felt scared, insulted and upset.
Kalai had abused his power to convince the women to show him their bras and he had insulted their modesty by asking them to reveal their bras to him.

No one from Govt has openly warned foreigners in SG to behave or get deported if they are convicted of any criminal offence. MOM quiet, ICA also quiet and foreigners and PRs think they have same privileges as sinkies to stay put in SG even if they have court convictions.

Ah nehs have terrible reputation for being rapists and molesters in their home land and when they are in SG, they believe this country is also their hunting ground. Pappies should deport all FTsh with court convictions, even if he is a Brit bank director or an Italian restaurant owner.

Its an open secret that Aetos, Cisco, Prisons Dept employ Malaysian Keling Pariahs in large numbers.. Usual reason is that no Sinkies would want to work in these jobs..

Jah, the low salary offered by Aetos and Cisco prevented the locals from applying.. I believe the starting pay is less than 1.5k.. As for Prisons Service, its around 2k for a new officer but job really damn boring..

Not sure why these organisations love to hire the Kelings from Malaysia.. There are also a number of Chinese Malaysians in Cisco, Aetos and Prisons but the numbers can't be compared to the Kelings..

Fully agree... Most SPF rejects would take the last option and that is to be a Prisons Warden or Auxiliary Police Officer.. Maybe the thought of wearing a blue uniform gives them some sort of an ego boost..
