Over the past two days, I've been heartened with the encouragement and support given by many fellow Singaporeans.
It is assuring to know that after two years of advocating and writing on issues that concern Singapore and Singaporeans, it has bear fruit.
From my conversations with Singaporeans, I realise that many Singaporeans already know what is going on in Singapore.
Many Singaporeans already know how our CPF is being taken away for investments and not returned, and how our wages are intentionally pushed down.
When I started writing, I was only putting together a story which people already knew and which we could then share with one another.
And I helped piece together the complete picture so that we can now know that since 1984, the PAP has created policies to cut down on Singaporeans.
Thus it is not surprising that they've decided to come down on me.
All throughout the ages, story tellers have been put down for when you spread the truth, those whom have kept it hidden would fear even more that what they've hidden would be revealed, and they would lose their control and power.
But this is not about me.
This is about knowledge, about knowing.
This is about realising what's really going on in our country and how the person next to us thinks the same way too.
Today, we can say with certainty that most Singaporeans believe commonly that our government has reneged on its responsibility and our lives have gotten harder. In the past, we might not know for sure.
But today, we know that our fellow men and women think the same.
As such, Singaporeans, it is time. It is time we come together and we believe.
It is time we believe in ourselves and in one another.
It is time we stand united in our belief and in our dreams.
Know that we are as one and we believe as one.
They want to take us down but together, we will only be stronger than before and more united than before.
Together, we will fight for our freedoms, and for equality for our common fellow Singaporeans.
We can build a society which is free, fair and equal, where our poor can be respected, where our elderly can live in dignity and where our rich among us grow in our wealth together.
This is a Singapore that we want, a Singapore that we can and have always believed in.
In this new dawn, in this new time, it's time we come together.
It's time we believe and make it happen.
It's time we find the strength within ourselves to make our dreams come true.
I am just one spark. But now, we've lit up many more sparks.
Let our flames continue to light the way and let our hopes shine through.
It's time, my friends.
