NEA uses satellite radar mapping...its delayed 15 minutes. I'm thinking of instantaneous mapping by microwave array.

in the bay area, we use doppler radar....

so far, not much use. not a single drop of moisture. extremely dry and hot. 100-degree f. massive high pressure ridge hanging over california.
