I have been pondering about cpf issue. in sinkieland, since it's important to have cpf contribution as house, retirement and medical fund in case if you need it. most of my friends making 10 to 20k a month, have their cpf contribution capped at 5k, do you think it's fair? I propose that employers should contribute 18% matching to the wages that they are making at no cap limit.

what say you ???

the purpose of cpf is shift the burden of healthcare and housing and retirement to the poor so the government dont have to tax the rich(those earning more than 5k)to pay for social welfare programmes....thus making sg a tax haven for the rich....world number 1 country for tax evasion.

since gahment always emphasize that there may be not enough for individual's retirement, they may as well abolish the cap limit. the existing problem that even with 5k cap, they are still being retrenched when they are past 40. making them crippled and unable to further contribute to the cpf fund for retirement. so make the companies pay and even when you reach 40+, you will not fear even being retrenched asyou have already accumulate enough by then.

CPF is a rip-off ...you lend the government money for pittance returns. If you invested it, you would have got better returns on it.
The CPF should be a pension fund providing 50 percent of your working income when you retire.

What's wrong with working hard and paying less? Do we want to take care of the lazy instead of the unfortunate?

thats propaganda to shame human slaves into subservience, attack their "ethics" and make them feel guilty.

singapore is already the longest working hours country and yet we are being called lazy.thats call irony.imagine if australia companies had workers like singaporeans, they would be rejoicing.
