My bet is GMS will form his own political party and contest. Sec-Gen dont play play. Looks like old hunting ground of Tampines imo.

hahaha....very unlikely he will form his own political party as time is running out for him to do so....
also he must be damn kuku to do that in view of the number of political parties already registered.

Politics is in his blood. Time and age wont be enough to deter him. Better register new party. Existing inactive ones carry baggage. If dont start new one, harder to be SG.
 
When GMS announced he was taking on Mah in 2011, old man panicked and the next day issued his threat about residents losing value in their HDB flats. If that is not impact I do know what it is. Mah was subsequently removed. What people was not aware was that the PAP had to shore up Tampines in a massive way.

Like it or not, GMS turned NSP. His mistake was to take the Moulmein incident personally and went rogue.
 
he's a one man island. he cant click with any party, not a team player. no chance for him anywhere. he can try a smc though. but what's the point, if he cant run an estate all by himself.

In 2011 Tampines and Marine Parade were in NSP's favour. It was lucky to have "booked" Tampines since 1988 and 23 years later HDB started to falter.*MP was unexpected that PAP decided to try out some young gaffe prone girl there and NSP roped another girl from RP whose mother was none other than a makeover director. MK was worthless fighting over as it does not have the same conditions.

Had NSP started to wake up after 2006, these 2 places would have been won by 2011. You can't blame them for not having foresight, but for not working hard enough like WP and SDP.

Yet now that these 2 places are closer to fingertips, they do not invest enough time there leading up to 2016. GMS left over a pique for worthless power and NS runs a tuition project that looks more like her hobby than a NSP spearhead.

Aljunied was won because the efforts after 2006 was even more intensive than before 2006. When SL was catapulted as NCMP they knew the chances were coming. LTK repaid his grassroots members sacrifices by coming out from Hougang and selecting the best team rather than veteran blokes like Poh.

To make up for lost time, NSP should throw a Team A into either GRC and knock every door.
 
He came across as a bitter man in this forum. Fortunately there is time to reflect and the general population dont pay attention to the conversations here anyway. The public probably still remembers him for taking on Mah's housing policies, former candidate of Aljunied GRC, secretary general of NSP etc. Still a bit more mileage compared to most people. Is he going to miss out the bonaza in the coming elections?

my guess is; initially he had plans for a political come back; but after seeing the results of the bi-elections in HG & PE....he made his mind for good...
