How Much of Singapore Does A Singaporean Own?

You believe pap govt creates opportunities? you must be reading MSM

S Korea and taiwanese govt really create opportunities with their Samsung, Hyundai, etc

pap creates sweeper, casino groupier, waitress, cleaner jobs

many mnc's have moved their asian hq's to sg as sg is an excellent place for regional talent and expats to work and live. for example, gm moved her regional hq from prc to sg even though her sales in china are through the roof. the management team felt it was paramount to harness, grow and keep talent in a safe, secure, advanced, convenient and friendly environment that sg was selected. and it's not just a sales office, but a full hq with design, engineering, regulatory, legal and financial roles and responsibilities in mind. more of such regional hq operations will be moving from tokyo, hk, beijing and shanghai to sg.

regional HQs come because the managers can enjoy SG's infrastructure. they dont create many jobs. we need to produce goods such as cars, hi tech phones, wafers, etc to have good jobs.

no point having cheap labour jobs when most Singaporeans have diplomas and degrees.

LHL and KBW are asking Singaporeans not to go to Unis

Barclays is retrenching. Seagate has left

good. it's time to attract the winners, not losers in the global economy.

Barclays is a British multinational banking and financial services company[3] headquartered in London. It is a universal bank with operations in retail, wholesale and investment banking, as well as wealth management, mortgage lending and credit cards. It has operations in over 50 countries and territories and has around 48 million customers. Barclays had total assets of US$2.42 trillion, the seventh-largest of any bank worldwide

And you said Barclays is a loser?

now you are wiser

samsung is a loser?

samsing, samsang, and samsong will have no choice but move certain ops to sg due to sg's superior governance, infrastructure and concentration of talent. it's inevitable.

your opinion is not evident yet...pure speculation is unreliable

it's not speculation. south korean chaebol are seriously looking at sg for diversification of their talent base.

they are always seriously looking at everywhere.

until they relocate to SG, what you said is pure speculation

U know the funny thing about these relocations?? When they moved the HQ over to SG, they moved the people too. That's why the heads and executives likes all these relocations, they get to move here on relocation packages. And they then bring or hire their kakis along. Don't believe?? Go to any Japanese, Korean, European or US HQ in SG and u will find majority of their nationalities in there.

Yes...these are high power games the Regional bosses play to benefit themselves and their families. and Singaporeans seldom benefit from these relocations.
