Dangerous for man to carry exposed saw inside crowded MRT train

Imagine what would happen should a hapless commuter brush against the exposed teeth of this saw, seen openly carried by this man aboard a crowded train.

HX was shocked to see this happening.

In an email to STOMP on Feb 17, the contributor said:

"I was in a very crowded train around 8:10 am along at Kembangan heading towards the West on 17 Feb 2009.

"A Chinese national boarded the train at Paya Lebar (or one of the stations a few stops after Kembangan) with an exposed saw.

"When he squeezed himself into the train, he drew a number of shocked stares from the passengers.

"I was standing right behind him but was unable to take a good shot. When most of the passengers had alighted after Tanjong Pagar station, the man found himself a seat and that was when I took the shot.

"My main question is, why did SMRT allow such things to happen? I thought the security and safety of passengers are of high priority?

"Every now and then in the past year, there have been patrols at the stations and I can also recall the SMRT video that showed how a suspicious bag can create a dramatic response from the passengers, but somehow, in reality, a person with a dangerous object can walk in nonchalantly and unchecked.

"Seriously, I would like to know what exactly is SMRT really doing in maintaining the safety and security of the passengers."

No big deal anyway; stupid stomper never get to sample MRT in China. You won/t believe the variety of nonsense they pack on the subway train there.

Furthermore, a saw is not an offensive item.

He is filming the next SAW movie directed by our internationally acclaimed (huh!), director...Jack Ass Neoh, "He saw , I saw", you know saw" aka SAW X.....:D

Maybe he is one of those that likes to behead fellow commuters
like the one in Canada not too long ago.
