World's most expensive government can't deliver

Whoever is willing to work for the people at any price.
PAP starts with the good intention to build Singapore, but has since lost their way decades ago.

You know who is Chen Shui Bian??? He work as Taiwan President on half price... You see what happen???

Politicians are self severing... I can work as the PM of Singapore free of charge... Can you guys help me??? I will be very happy to put my whole families members, relatives and friends in all the GICs and all the ministry...:D

Were you born yet, when PAP was an opposition, yes! the old guard brought SINgapore to where it is today......the newer ones are bringing us down the slippery road to disastser...look at the lack of foresight & planning that resulted in drunken foreign Indian workers, going on a riot...we were lucky once again, that it did not become a full scale riot that will involve the army & resulting in burning of buildings & even civilian lives. The one current to this was the strike by the PRC drivers, had they gone a bit crazy, driven buses & hold passengers for ransom, that will be another disaster. The MRT breakdown....again Divine Providence ensured that, no one DIED...how long can we depend on Divine providence to step in??

Which ruling party pays themselves salaries to the moon, name me 1? maybe North Korea...if the ruling party had taken care of their people first, many the problems we face together would have been greatly minimized...which ruling party on this planet earth, sold out her people & workers...in the name of making progress... NAME ME ANOTHER?

I am not here to say PAP are good... Their salaries are above the moon near to Mars... I do agree that quite a big numbers of policy they do bring problem to the native like us... If peoples like us not happy with them, they will be throw out sooner or later... I can see this happening slowly...

However I do not feel that we will get better with the new party that take over them... We will still face a lot of unhappiness with the new party that rules us... We can get people to vote against them... But please do not tell peoples that we will get better if they are thrown out... This may not be true... As you can see most of the countries around us changes ruling party... More than 60% getting worst not better...

You mean no one in the world know that our operating cost is high accept you???

The whole world knew about it long ago... If like what you said... We are finish long ago...:p

Most politicians starts with good intention and sooner or later becomes self serving.
Then we have to look for the next person to bring us forward again and again.

We have spent billions in research and this is the results? Damn. What have those renown scientists being doing here?
Guess, the government will say that we need to bring the cost of producing low value generic drugs by bringing in more foreign workers instead of addressing the problem of why are we not producing the higher value drugs??????

Is cost in Taiwan and South Korea lower than sinkapore? I don't think so. Sinkapore doesn't produce the stuff that the world wants. That's the problem.

If Taiwan, S Korea or our competitors are growing and we r stagnant or shrinking, then we r in deep shit!!! Same if Apple grow and Samsung slows, then we know who is winning and who is going to lose his pants!!

I agree with you... We need to change another team to bring us forward again and again... Just remember that there are risk...

We must prepare to be like some neighboring country like Japan, Taiwan and Thailand... It may take 5 years to get better but it may take a decade or 2 and it never get better... Once Singaporean willing to take this risk... I am very sure we will have a new ruling party at that time... The question is are Singaporean ready???

South Korea is a good example of a success story... As for Taiwan, they growing??? I am not sure... Since you say they are growing... Do you know who is ruling them now??? KMT... KTM is the original ruling party since 50 years ago...

There are more countries that have change ruling parties but never grow but went down... Need examples??? I give 2... Thailand and Japan....

Why not take the risk when you know these men are not THE ONE?
Do you see things improving for Singaporeans?
60% wants to stays in comfort zone and don't want changes.
What they didn't realise is they are slowly walking towards their hanging rope, unless PAP suddenly wake up and find a bright path for Singaporean.

If you do not get better with another party & we still have one that is not going to bring us forward better, but leading us from one disaster to another,& excuses coming up each time that every one is an "isolated" case or 1 in 50 years thing, this is dangerous. I do not advocate a throwing out of the current ruling party, I have lived with them for my whole life, but a slow gradual change of government to one, that, has a vision, tenacity to act & move forward & protect the livelihood of the people & not take for granted those who vote for them & do not assume, that is a God given right; to do anything they feel pleased, in the name of looking after you & me.

As you have stated, many as you have read history..changes does not mean the best, for it may become worse...do not change, the entire country will fall apart , just the same. We need a middle path that serve the people well, we need oppositions that are useful & have that "one extra" over the ruling party, bring about spurs in their hides, to serve the people...not be SERVED.

It is the people who make the government, & the people actually is the government...we need some sense here now, to see, what we need for the future, for the current moment, we are on a slippery road to disaster...if we are not careful, it would not be "isolated" anymore...we are all done for.:p

Put it in soccer terms. Do we need to change the coach or the players?? Certainly the current coach don't think much about our local players. That's why he keep wanting new players from overseas. In the meantime other teams r moving above us in the tables!!

If you can look at the election results for the pass 2 elections... Singaporean are a group of smart peoples... They know that beside PAP, there is another party that may help Singaporean... They believe that WP may help... That is why you can see WP are getting more votes and seats from the peoples... Also a lot of peoples here are asking why WP never come to their wards??? If I have WP coming to my ward, I will vote for them and hope they win... Anyway I voted 2 times all opp NSP and I know they will not win... I voted NSP but I hope they do not win...

WP are growing slowly, they are the current party that many feels may threaten the PAP... Please give them more time... At the main time, do not be too kan jiong and voted some fuck up party in... We will get into more troubles... We are doing it slowly but surely...:)

Unless PAP suddenly wake up...

Peoples knew about it... That is why you see only 60.1%... If you remember correctly... Last time more the 70%...

If PAP did not wake up and improve the life of Singaporean... I believe the next election will be less than 60%... Please do not always Fuck the 60.1%... If I have SDP or RP... to choose... I will vote for PAP if I think these 2 party may win...

They missed out on the mobile and Ipad boom. Slow to react and probably didn't anticipate change. Taiwan and S.Korea were the beneficiaries in that space. Forget Pharma. It's too volatile to predict.

Well!! They missed out on being a Google or a Facebook or Twitter..etc. They missed out on developing and later in manufacturing of iPad or android devices. For life-science and Pharma, we r mostly followers. For Banking and Finance, we r a major hub but looks like we have hit the peak so no upside there. As for casinos, maybe there is room to build a couple more...but we will end up with more bankrupts!!

Ten years series don't have model answers for most of the problems plaguing Singapore, so MIW have no idea how to solve.

If you read carefully, the recent fire at one of the telephone exchange one of the causes was they were using old maintenance what?? why do we have this happening?, simple, there is only one provider...SING & TELL, so they take things for granted...usual the current maintenance manual is version 8.01.05 version 0.9 whereas the contractor doing the maintenance is using version 0.9 beta.. But, we have very well trained & educated people...& yet, we face such big boo boo! not that, people do not make mistakes...they are expected to....

If you transpose this to the people running country, same is happening, they have very experiences, very educated, very intelligent people...but they are using manual version 0.9 beta..whereas the current ones is 9.01...03

Does that ring alarm bells in all of us?? something is very wrong here...with the 'picture'...or we are just too blind to see??

Now u see things 'crawling out of the woodwork'!! Like the SIngtel fire and the screwed up maintenance, just like the MRT!!! And I don't think cost is the reason, just laziness, people just on autopilot and government officials just interested in more glamouress projects like F1 or casinoes!!

It is now too one sided to choose oppositions.
Once we reached near the 2/3 majority, then choose more carefully.
At the present moment, if the elected opp MP CMI, just vote them out in the next election.
You never know, SDP/RP/NSP/SDA, may have some good candidates that may surprise us, if given a chance.
That will put PAP more pressure to serve us.
