The Thais protest against self-serving action of the govt by using this law to allow the PM's brother to come back to thailand. It is all about her family and not the interest of the people and country.

I think that the PAP is not liked, but that is normal. I call it the Citizen's Right to Gripe, and is common throughout the world. Commoners all over the world take out their unhappiness on their governments; and this is something governments have to live with, just whether openly or not. That's why political satire and cartoons are loved and appreciated most places where they are published, and are really "homegrown" art.

Yes, there was a protest at Hong Lim, I think it was something about disagreement with the 6.9 million population target. So what about it? Effective? My view is that Singapore's population will swell, with or without government policy. That's because of the world's current economic model of growth, and most people have accepted this model. We do not know another way.

If Singaporeans want a government change, there are elections. To date, few are willing to take another path because they're unsure of what it leads to, and they prefer a predictable future, so they bet on what is known. I don't agree with that, but I accept democracy.
