Almost all my Malay kawans have properties in Malaysia or they are living there in retirement. Likewise their children and grandchildren. Most continued to collect rents from their Singapore properties to be spent in Malaysia (or in some cases Indonesia). Wonderful for Malays. Good pap deal for them.

Malaysian companies like Singaporean Malays because they can speak Malay and their English is much better than Malaysians. For the local chap, he get to live in a more Islamic society and feel like a first class citizen over the Chinese and Indians. Many buy houses and retire there. Ch8 just featured one who migrated there, former corporate high flier and now operates a goat farm in Johor.

You bit wrong bro.. There is one local Malay who is a shipping tycoon.. Received his Datukship from a Malaysian state.. I had the opportunity to meet him before when my old Boss brought me along for their lunch appointment.. Humble and friendly chap..
