Wah now can change NS vocation let's all be clerks

Clerk so-so only...the most senang job anyone can have in the army is mess boy.

I'd say the best vocation is that of a cook. You get to learn to prepare food, plan and organise a catering event, and all the kitchen operations for a small officer's gathering to the size of a regiment's luncheon. Better than a university degree.

Cheers!

..... All change to clerks!

"Dr Ng also noted the strong support for national service from employers in Finland and Switzerland, even without incentives.
He said that's because they see the value in the qualities and skills servicemen pick up from their stints."

i learnt to kheng dam well in army. don't think my boss will support NS if he found out.

Eh, last time I was a clerk in SAFTI,
The best part was attending the 6 weeks course in Seletar Camp
together with the SAF women, and every
Friday 3 to 5 is games day. Saturday off.
Transport was also provided.

Be a sniper and later on you can be an assassin. Pays big bucks.

The mess boy was a GD man, a vocation which I believe has been removed from the estab a long time ago.

The scope of a cook's work has also been severely reduced - food is mostly supplied by SFI. But the amount of work has increased, i.e. because they don't cook and only serve, they have to serve many more.

This is for the white-horse lah. Now they can openly ask for change since every also can but the difference is that their is confirmed approved.

Next time we kaopeh say they got light posting, then MINDEF will say, yes but he applied and approved. Nothing wrong.

You really think so good for people like us?

I was a cook at former ARTI camp at Sentosa decades ago. After a few years, came out and sell beef noodles at Bugis.:o
