Your example is deeply flawed and is representative of how many Muslims think. A reasonable person would have considered the example of someone using your lunch box to put his lunch in and then wash it clean before returning to you. Perhaps the person's lunch may consist of some foods that are unacceptable to you but no sane person will give the example of putting shit in your lunch box. With such examples, it is no wonder non-Muslims view Muslims with great suspicion.
Islam is a backwards and toxic religion, and a curse on humanity. I only see the rules getting stricter and stricter. It becomes a race to see who can be a more devout and better Muslim until eventually, every Muslim is an extremist. If you are truly concerned about defending Islam, you would be well-advised to encourage others to adopt a more flexible interpretation of your religion. But then again, other Muslims will just turn on you and accuse you of blasphemy, or worse, try to kill you like what they did to Malala. I guess the best option for you would be to go to a new country, change your name and cast off the shackles of Islam forever. Whatever you do, just don't bring your religion to your new country.
