A couple staying in the Grand Hyatt Singapore along Scotts Road were injured during an altercation on Sunday night.

Mr Robert Pferdmenges, 64, a German national, was punched and needed 20 stitches. His Singaporean wife, Ms Elaine Ong, in her 40s, suffered bruises and scratches.

They said they have stayed in the five-star hotel’s Grand Club deluxe room for the last six years under a long-term arrangement costing them $400 a night.

A spokesman for the hotel confirmed that an altercation occurred between several in-house guests.
