Ngiam assumes that sinkees don't want those jobs. The reality is that they want them but the hospitals don't want to pay the living wage ...so they have resorted to hire foreigners. Close the door to the foreigners is the only solution to force the hospitals to hire sinkees and paying the living wage.

And he has so little faith in sinkees.
