Latest Dengue numbers

When this phuacheebye pap govt keeps very quiet and acts blur about certain things since it is only good at reporting only the good news....i get damm fucking worried....

Anybody got the latest figures of the epidemic that is starting to really hurt this country....so many people living in such densely populated areas....this is a classsical fuckup waiting to happen...

Last i read it was past 16000 cases!!!

High living density means the mosquitoes can find the next victim more quickly before it dies.
The epidemic risk in places like Singapore and hong Kong is far higher than less crowded place...
this adds to the insecurity overall and we are now facing higher risk from epidemic and disease
That concept Singapore is safe is eroded.

I reported to NEA recently that I observed an increased in mosquito in my area and suggested that they increase their inspections, put chemicals in the clogged drains and fog the forestation. The NEA officer came, apologize and said they cannot do anything until there is a reported dengue case.

I'm like WTF?! You need to wait until someone gets dengue or dies from it to take action? Well, should I expect more? Even our PAP ministers said that there are no problems because they have not heard any complains.

I suggested to the inspectors that they check the surrounding construction sites . They auntie who visited my place assured me that they do check the construction sites. I don't know if they inspect these construction sites with enough regularity. With the current rains I expect more dengue cases.

What I do know is that no one in our building has been caught breeding mossies, yet we have this problem. Heard that my neighbour got dengue

When they proceeded to the pond filled with green moss, one of the officer's hand nearly got bitten off by my pet pirahnas.:o

don't know if the regular checks are not detailed enough..

BTW, fine for working on sunday when not suppose to is $5000. first time get caught with mosquitos, fine is $1000

With dengue on the rise I don't believe the authorities are doing their jobs. If they are doing their jobs, how come got so many dengue cases

Looks like living in Kampong like the older days were safer as it is normally single storey high...
