iSuppli在报告中称，16GB版iPhone 5s的零部件成本至少为191美元。加上8美元的组装费用，合计为199美元。而64GB版iPhone 5s的零部件成本为210美元，加上8美元的组装费用，合计为218美元。
该成本与iPhone 5成本相差无几。HIS在去年的拆解报告中称，16GB版iPhone 5零部件和制造成本合计为205美元。如果不与运营商签署长期合约，iPhone 5s不同内存版本的售价将介于649美元至849美元之间。
与此前的iPhone一样，新款iPhone与显示有关的零部件在成本中的占比最大，为41美元。IHS指出，新款iPhone的显示屏可能由多个厂商负责生产，其中包括夏普、日本显示（Japan Display Inc.）和LG Display。
至于低价版iPhone 5c，IHS在报告中称，16GB版零部件和制造成本总计为173美元，其中制造成本为7美元。64GB版零部件和制造成本总计为183美元，制造成本同样为7美元。不签署合约，iPhone 5c的售价介于549美元至649美元之间。
报告还指出，iPhone 5s和iPhone 5c之间的区别其实很小。IHS分析师安德鲁•拉斯维勒（Andrew Rassweiler）称：“除了iPhone 5s配备了指纹识别传感器、A7处理器和较新的存储芯片之外，两款手机几乎是相同的。”

The margins are very high for branded smart phones and tablet.
I used to have reservations about china made android phones but my fried let be try one of these 5"
Phones which he bought for .$170 and it is quite good. Frankly I couldn't tell the difference between this and this real note2 until in notice the missing as Samsung logo. The cost of a real Samsung manufacturing should be ard US$120 and for the new apple below US$180.

These contracts are just hire purchase plans in which you pay for an expensive phone for 2 yrs.
This is a loop hole in our system that allow more borrowing to take place. Ordinarily you would not pay
$800 for a phone AAT one go so they split it to 24 months. The total cost of calls under such a plan is about
$8 but you're willing to pay 30-40 a month to get the phone at $200 which is the way to rip off the unthinking consumer
for more money.

Using prepaid and top ups to circumvent this my cost of mobile bills is less than $5 per month.

People should stop getting cheated and stop spending more than they need on these scams.

We also know that 16G f flash memory cost $16 or less these days so why walk into a scam to pay $100USD more for
16G more. Apple's success represent everything wrong with society these days everyone stops thinking about 'value for money' and just tripping from one scam to another. But of course, there is nothing more stupid that paying $80K for a piece of paper to buy car in Singapore and many are willing to go into debt to do this.

All these thoughtless financial acts will add up and when the day came you find the numbers don't add up for many people ...and they ask themselves ...whee did All my money go? Stupid is as stupid does, the trouble comes to those who stop thinking

Ah Tiong phones are usually better made than their expensive counterparts but you have to treat them like BATA shoes.

Buy and throw away if it kaput and don't expect any after-sales service.

Do you have internet broadband access on your phone cos if you sign up for a small plan say 200mb of data just for causal surfing it wouldn't cost less than $5

Been to a manufacturer of these phones in shenzhen. There is no QC or safety concerns. It works but how safe are the phones? Avoid them at all cost. Most of the phones are sold to Turkey, former Soviet Republics.
