following the Wendy Chan case in which NTUC refused to payout for her DPS policy after she became disabled.

http://www.tremeritus.com/2013/09/07/about-wendys-case-and-insurers-bad-faith/

the above case, the person bought a personal
liability insurance for overseas travel from
NTUC Income, when he checked the policy he was shocked.
He found that it contains a clause that said that the damages must be
ruled by a Singapore court for the claim to be successful!"
How is this possible when the accident is.overseas!
This renders the policy completely useless.

There is.nothing to prevent insurance companies.from acting in bad faith and inserting clauses to.swindle the money of those who buy useless.policies. That is why I requirement that that insurance companies publish historic payout to premium of policies they sell so that ordinary pple can.know.how.claimable their.policies are.

The govt has failed in its.duty to regulate this
.industry letting the run wild
it is a dereliction of duty to allow.such policies to
be marketed

Just put in a claim to income.. was told to wait 4-6 weeks to get reimbursement while they decide whether they will allow the claim. I have to pay all charges first, though.

Just like the sheep who deserve the govt they voted for...
Income policyholders deserve to be fucked over for buying from CUNT

nobody forced you to buy the insurance in the first place
it's your responsibility to read all the fine print or go through the policy with your agent
my friend was involved in an accident overseas
he got his insurance company to pay for everything
including his emergency evacuation plane to fly him home for further treatment
the total bill came to almost a quarter million
his insurance company paid everything including his three months hospitalization leave
and the company also paid his salary!!!...loss of income....all forms of damages were fully paid!!!

Encik did your friend fly back in a SIA chartered plane?

Insurance should make simple. All gov in the world should make regulation policy less than 5 pages.

Income pap of pap so what the different, they know they can get away of any wrong doing.

Encik I think your friend just broke the previously held record of $8. Congratulations!

Wah, which company? Tell us leh so that we can quit NTUC Income and buy from that company.

I have said it before, time and again, insurance is a form of legalised scam. Which is why I always have a distain for "friends" who are so called "financial advisors",

At the very basic, insurance companies profits by not paying out. If you buy a policy and never get into situations which necessitate a claim against the policy, it's all profit for them. You are basically feeding the insurance agents, and providing funds which the insurance companies uses - all for no tangible benefits. It is just like throwing money into the drain. At most you get this feeling called "peace of mind", but then again "peace of mind" can come FOC by living sensibly and making peace with your Maker anyway.

I say if there's a hell, there should be a special place reserved for all insurance agents. How could anybody in good conscience engage in a trade such as this?
