can those tablets like ipad, nexus 7, and others make voice calls and smses?

i mean not through any VOIP or through the net.. The normal way a mobile phone makes voice calls/ send smses. Can these tablets do these functions? thanks in advance to any IT gurus.

iPads don't have that function. The Galaxy Note does. (half phone half tablet). Don't know about the others.

For the Galaxy Note, it is a case of either or, not both concurrently. Which means that you can manually set to receive either via your usual mobile phone or through your Galaxy note. For Singtel users, it is as simple as keying in a 3- or 4-digit number on the instrument.

I saw a few in Sim Lim made in China Tablet, $200+ can call, has 3G, has 2 SIM card slots. ...everything also have.
Maybe you want to consider these, According to sales feller, battery life also very good.

Maybe you want to consider these, According to sales feller, battery life also very good.

Don't trust all these chinese products ...they don't go through proper QA and who knows what damage you could incur from using them.
Lots of these products are from SME and they cut corners to bring down the price.

bro, nexus 5 IS here in sg.. Try kasia, mobilesquare.. i only go to these 2 shops. they r reputable and the cheapest in sg. I intro these 2 shops to many of my prc friends.

Bought one of those. Cheap but slow as hell. Battery life has never been a strength of China brands and their battery capacity are over-rated. No OS updates unless you're adventurous to rooting.

Most give 3-6 months warranty. For me it's so fucking slow when switching/loading apps I don't even bother using it.

Your cheapest bet is to go Asus Fonepad, and even Asus QC is questionable these days.

Samsung Galaxy quite good. I use it but of course look weird if you put it to your head. So must use a nice bluetooth or earpiece.
