Actually, that damn stupid woman, she feed the poor quietly nobody will know, as MANY HAVE DONE THIS, she wants attention & be recongnized , the heart is not at the right place. she DESERVED TO BE LAMBASTED!.

They should be made to work for their food...eg pick up rubbish, sweep common areas, create facebook likes or whatever is within their capabilities.

This I agree with you, feeding them is the last resort. She in the first place, should have made these people useful not encouraging slothfulness. These people will wait like the stray cats, at a certain time of the day & wait to be fed...mind you, they get such good food, with prawns & imitation crab meat sticks...if they rice contains a silver of meat with salted vegetables, they will complain.

There was this, misguided NGO's...that fed the POOR BANGLADESHI'S & INDIAN workers at the dormitory at Pandan...some time back, when there were many locals out of work during the Asian Financial crisis...was lambasted!!
