Man charged with using criminal force on teenager

SINGAPORE: A man has been charged with using criminal force on a teen so as to outrage her modesty.

The incident happened on August 16 at 8.40am, in the train travelling from Choa Chu Kang to Bukit Gombak.

34-year-old Jayaraman Kannan allegedly pressed his private parts against a 19-year-old girl.

If convicted, he can be jailed up to two years, caned and fined. - CNA/ac
