8 SAF Overseas Scholar = $800 million of taxpayer's money

I sure hope my agenda of discrediting bullshit is obvious by now. If you think i have any other agenda you clearly don't know
me.

Do you even know what is bs? You hear, see and read them everyday that you can't tell bs from reality. Wake up for you and your family's own good. Your daughters will thank you when they are in adulthood.

I put out my numbers and show how I derive them. Challenge the details, by all means. That you can't shows that you are full of bs. If you ain't a bs, then take a stab at those numbers. Or better still, ask the government to provide the numbers to prove us wrong.

Ok, how exactly did you come up with those bonus figures then? 22 months for 35 years??? Is that a historical figure or an assumption for the future? If an assumption, what is it based on?

Tell me what numbers shall I replace it with? Two months or three months? They are high because these scholars are given generous bonuses that have exceeded 12 months in some years.

Give me your figures ...I have the framework set up ...go plug in your numbers. Let us see your 'credible' numbers. It will still be in the TENS of MILLIONS, I presume.

Just google it. Yearly civil servant bonus payments are made public. A quick glance showed something like 1-3 month for the past 5 years. Next point:

Average male life expectancy in Singapore is ~82 years, female is 86 years, yet you base your retirement payment on age 88. It was probably less in the past.

Also, you wrote the pension is 50% of last drawn salary, yet your calculation is based on 100%.

I could dig deeper but honestly don't feel like as the trend is already pretty clear. You did not do your homework, so don't ask others to do it for you.

BS

Wake up and smell the flowers ...what happened in 2008? The global impact of that event continues. Yet you take the last 5 years as your base line? And do you know that there are discretionary bonuses dished out to senior civil servants??????

Why use the average when these scholars are not average people? They eat well, sleep well, enjoy life well. A relatively stress free life contributes to longevity ...do you need me to google that to prove my point? Dah!

I stand corrected on this ...I meant 50 percent of their annual compensation.

Tell me in your infinite wisdom, how much does a scholar cost to the taxpayers over his life time? $10 million, $20 million, $30 million, $50 million or $1 million? Give us your number.

No, i don't use them as baseline but they bring the average down, understand?

Your assumptions are ludicrous. Good luck with your case, i'm out.

Come on ...you can't even provide a 'credible' number? And you claim you are here to debunk all bs? You are the greatest bs here.

You are citing the last five years to justify that bonuses are lower ...well, I disagree because scholars are paid on a different scheme and not all of it are transparent. Have you forgotten that their compensation are based on the private sector.

If you want to show your credibility, then engage in a meaningful way. One-liners are not good enough.

It would serve your credibility well if you just admit that your numbers and calculations are crap. Insulting me won't make them more believable...

theories which cannot be proven true, but yet also cannot be disproven by current evidence, should be allowed to fester. until finally disproved, it remains valid.

Regardless, but to pay $100 mil for a scholarship make no mathematical sense. This is common sense (or lacking of it)

If what you say in your statement is true, you can also claim that scholars get $100 billion dollars per week. After all, we do not know if this $100 billion per week is true or not.

oh..stupid sinkie, your ass pain or not... pay CPF until the money is used for such shit.

Chump, shut the fuck up as this has nothing to do with a Malaysian like you. Anyway, your income is too freaking low to contribute to our taxes too.

Fuck back to Malaysia and see who your UMNO Government are giving the scholar or even Universiti Places to...

Social assistance payments to the poor crossed the $100 million mark for the first time to reach $102.4million in the last financial year ending in March.

That was a nearly 45 per cent jump from the previous year and more than double the $44.5million given out five years ago.

exactly. its the duty of those with the power to definitively correct bullshit, to correct it. if not, the conspiracy will fester even longer and take on a life of its own.

its nice to quote official figures, but the mood is now against the government. it will take more than official figures to convince people of the true situation. conspiracies have simply been allowed to fester for too long.
