Malaysian Super League side Johor Darul Takzim announced on Tuesday that it had relieved Fandi Ahmad of his coaching duties.

The move came 10 days after the football club, who finished third in the MSL, announced that Spaniard Cesar Ferrando Jimenez would be taking charge on Aug 18, shortly before the Malaysia Cup tournament kicks off.

Singapore legend Fandi was expected to continue working with the team until then but it has emerged that Azmi Mohamed, coach of the state's second-tier side Johor FA, will be in temporary charge.

The club added on its Facebook page that Fandi will remain in his role as team manager.

Ok what still team manager and getting paid.
Dun read too much into it....he has the sultan's backing.

No difference from any other managers or coaches in EPL. They get sacked all the time..

PAP tell you one....
Be thankful that you are still employed and have a job....though it may not be the job that you want and pay you what you think you are worth. Better than those whose jobs are snatched away by pap favorite FTs and have to burden PAP.

I remember all these players from the early 90s. Fandhi, Lim Tong Hai, Sundramoorthy, David Lee. Boosted by Abbas Saad, Alistair Edwards

don't forget Jang Jung

i knew Fandi would crash as a coach....................

can tell he's not smart enough......................Sundram is much better than him..................

Fandi made good money back in the 90s due to his football talent, yet he can't even manage his own finance properly and landed in current bad state. How to trust him to be coach and team manager?

Thank you for politicizing a thread yet again!

huh, ticket sold in neighbourhood stadium meh? me had to go to national stadium to buy $1 ticket.

In the good old days, I was selling 'drinks, keropok, kuei chee ' at Kallang Stadium ..... and being sexually abused by minahs who kept staring at the bulge in my shorts. They all tried to find opportunity to 'accidentally' brush their hands against my kukujiao ........

And being a young boy then ...... I was severely traumatised
