the pap has logistics advantage in a GRC but it makes no difference to the voter whether LHL contests in a SMC or GRC. one can vote against LHL in a SMC or LHL and his team in a GRC. it is as simple as that.

Those were the early days. Now with the internet age, sinkies are wising up to the tricks use by the papzis.

Looking at the result of PEBE, where a lowly Lee Li Lian could even beat the likes of a distinguished doctor, the days of the papzis are numbered.

I predict this wont be the only SMC to go. Once Bukit Panjang, Joo Chiat, etc are lost, the balls of the papzis will be shaking... that is if they are not already shaking. No papzis will be willing to stand in a SMC!

Then all those who stood in GRC will be considered COWARDS!

Compared to 2006-2011, the opposition's ground presence has lessened. Even WP admitted that they did not walk the ground in Punggol East.

SDP, NSP and SPP are the only 3 opposition parties walking on PAP ground and the efforts are not comparable to WP's efforts before 2011 to nab Aljunied.

So the opposition's chances in throwing out the PAP is not high, but PAP stands a high chance of losing a few more seats. The opposition can only bank on national sentiments and for WP, an extra party branding.
