The Confederations Cup winners have returned to the top 10, while Roy Hodgson's men have tumbled six places

Brazil have jumped up 13 places in the Fifa rankings to ninth position following their Confederations Cup success in June - but there was less encouraging news for England.

Luiz Felipe Scolari's men make the climb after winning last month's competition with a 3-0 victory over Spain in the final, but Roy Hodgson's Three Lions have tumbled six places and reside outside the top 10 in 15th place.

Spain remain the No.1 ranked team in international football, ahead of second-placed Germany, while Colombia complete the top three.

Argentina (fourth), Netherlands (fifth), Italy (sixth), Portugal (seventh), Croatia (eighth) and Belgium (10th) make up the rest of the top 10.

Cote d'Ivoire remain Africa's highest-ranked team in 13th position, while Mexico (20th) are the Concacaf's top representative, despite losing three places.

Senegal were the biggest climbers this month, rising 25 places to 74th spot, while Central African Republic were the biggest fallers, dropping 30 places to 89th.
