SINGAPORE: The High Court has dismissed the appeal filed by the mother-of-six who sued her anaesthetist for alleged negligence for S$2.6 million.
Last year, Madam Joanne Tong's negligence lawsuit against anaesthetist Gordon Yau was dismissed by the High Court.
The 40-year-old had accused Dr Yau of being negligent when he put her under general anaesthesia during a caesarean operation to deliver her sixth child.
She claimed his alleged negligence left her with neck and back pain, which had worsened over time.
When the High Court dismissed her case, Madam Tong filed an appeal against the dismissal.
On Thursday, the High Court dismissed her appeal, saying there is no basis in fact or matter of law.
