STOMPer Kaimx enquired about a job advertisement on a website but was surprised to receive a rude reply from the potential employer.

Said the STOMPer:

"This employer posted an advertisement on website Gumtree.

"I was just asking if there was a basic and he replied rudely that I don't understand English.

"What kind of company is this? The HR isn't good at all and they still want to hire people.

"Imagine working with him."

In a previous case, an employer received rude text messages in broken English from a job candidate.

young people nowadays use sms to get job interview? No more snail mail like i used to do?

Don't think there is a basic........................ :o

no basic but should have stopping power, right! :o:o:o

He's asking if there is a basic pay for the job.

is there a basic right?

is he talking to his friends or talking to potential employer?

BASIC - is it that programming language i learn when i was young?

Probably a job with a shitty pay and even shittier working environment.

That kaimx guy, despite his atrocious English, has dodged a bullet.

P.S: A job advertiser that corresponds with you via SMS is not worth your time. Only emails and phonecalls.

really? nowadays people use emails and phonecalls?
so high tech. I still use snail mail for job interview. I am so backwards.

This is obviously a one man show company and that applicant is an idiot so its a win win for both parties.

Sometimes the interviewer will give his mobile number to the applicant for various reasons - easier to communicate directly, interview is conducted after office hours or lunch time, he or the applicant is not certain whether he can make it for the interview, the interviewer moves around or might be in a meeting so its easier to call him on his mobile etc.

However, it is not appropriate to sms unless the applicant cannot get hold of the interviewer on the phone.

The applicant is obviously an idiot as the boss already told him they will discuss the terms during the meeting.

why no one here can explain to me.

what is " But there is a basic right ? "

use iphone somemore, tom dick and harry now use iphone.

should have just typed in the words "Basic salary" in full and it would be clearer to the prospective employer. If the job has a basic salary, then well and good, if not, no point for him to attend.

not to worry! as long as you still have stopping power :D:D:D

SAF need more stopping power, due to change in warfare and singapore is the high tech army, small number, better equip with air support and artillery, we dun need extra mobility, since we do not have the manpower.

i also agrees.
must be a 1 man show company.maybe employing student to distribute junk mail or junk flyers for his stupid product.
applicant being smart...ask a double quick qns.he dont want to waste time travelling,talking,bullshitting..and end up being told...your basic 1 hr pay is $4 miserable bucks (distribute door to door somemore)

Already explained to you in post#5.

The guy is asking "But there is a basic (salary), right?"

Not "but there is a basic-right?"
