However, I do not agree with PAP endorsing this article because the author of the blog post openly flames a famous blogger in Singapore, Roy Ngerng of The Heart Truths.

He commented that his blog 'uses half-truths and misquoted information' and 'urges readers to boycott The Heart Truths. Life’s too short to read the lies of this author'.

These accusations were based on the author's opinion and not backed up by any facts.

In National Day Rally 2012, which I attended as a grassroots leader, PM Lee specifically called for more rational online spaces and spoke out against those who flamed others online. I hope that he can walk the talk by ensuring his views are aligned with his party's action.

This entry has been shared across Facebook since it was published two days ago with more than 10,000 Facebook likes.

However, I believe that too many people have taken it at face value. The way in which some have interpreted it by some is that "All online criticisms are intended to politicize the haze" and will disunite Singaporeans in times of crisis.
