Famed Eng's wonton noodle seller dies

Mr Ng Ba Eng of famed wonton noodle stall Eng's Noodle House in Tanjong Katong Road has died from a heart attack.

It happened on Monday evening, when he was driving his van home after grocery shopping at a supermarket.

His death came as a shock to his family as he had no history of illness, they said.

The late Mr Ng started helping his father when he was a boy, selling traditional Cantonese-style wonton noodles from a pushcart in Duku Road.
