INDIA - Makkal Osai reported that a woman in Uttar Pradesh refused to marry a man who she said was "too dark".

The woman's family and other villagers who had gathered for the wedding were shocked by her reaction to her intended spouse, whom she was seeing for the first time.

Everything was fine until the woman laid eyes on her bridegroom.

When the wedding was about to be solemnised, the woman threw a tantrum, saying she would not proceed with the wedding as the bridegroom was too dark to match her looks.

Her family tried to persuade her into going ahead with the ceremony but she refused and walked out.
