Yes he is the most soldierly of all them paper generals. All the more he should remain in SAF. Likely he will be out of depth in his new job....pappies probably knew this....thus he got a buddy to guide him with OJT period.

I guessed they wanted his successor Ng Chee Meng (the famous Ng brothers) to quickly enter as CDF.

I've heard from friends who have worked for the Ng brothers that they are nothing remarkable - just book smart academic achievers but with slightly more than average leadership abilities.... how true is that?

Which Ng Brother? The SID one? the Navy One or the now CDF?

If they are not remarkable means they wont be Ministers
