Blame sinkees for being uncontrolled gamblers

If you don't want sinkees to gamble, then don't have the casinos. Stop blaming sinkees for the problems caused by PAP greed.

Acting Minister Chan Chun Sing says that gambling is a complex problem that cannot be solved with a single measure.

My heads whirls with the complexity of it all. It may be tempting to blame the proximity of the casinos or even the genetic make-up of the gambler who belongs to a particular race, but that would be somewhat fatuous.

We need to put the responsibility solely on the individual.

Because it is really up to us - the individuals - and our self-control or self-determination to curb our gambling habits.

Come on, I say, we are adults.

If we do not like being nannied by the Government and we do not like curbs on how we spend our money, then we should perhaps grow up and prove that we are mature enough to think and behave well on our own.
