I have set up a web shop at one of those free online store creation site.

Then I bought a domain at GoDaddy.

I also bought a hosting package from GoDaddy.

Now I can't link the 3 together. It is already 6 hours since I tried to link the domain to my store. Does it takes so long?

Please go open a real shop.

Anyway, you made 3 critical mistakes here.
- Free
- GoDaddy
- GoDaddy

Sometimes it will take 48 hours, depending on your DNS servers propagation. Most times, it's immediately, but your store must be owned by ah quas, that's why so long.

Oh man. What should I do. I pmed Sam already but no gurantee he will reply me. :o

I have been getting this picture for the past 6 hours.

Bro, if its any consolation, I got 2 domains from godaddy. Still can't figure how to make it work.

Ended up creating my website off my iPad using simpl.

I'm still keeping godaddy because of the domain name.

TS, I have experienced similar problems to you, and yes I can sympathise. For those who have the requisite skill/technical knowledge, it is a simple task. But for those who don't know, it can be quite a nightmare.

I solved the problem by doing the following:

Step #1 - Go to Elance.com, Freelancer.com or PeoplePerHour.com and post your problem. At least 10 freelance IT professionals from places like India, Philippines or Eastern Europe will offer their services.

Step #2 - Accept the bid from the lowest bidder (could be as little as $40) and get them to fix the task.

Step #3 - Your website should be up and running within 24 hours without you having to actually do any of the sai kang yourself.

You need to show your steps before anyone can help. Somewhere along these steps, you didn't do something right or miss a step. If there is any error message, post that too. Just showing that banner page won't help much.
