Considering a Kangen water ionizer - any advice?

I heard that alkaline is better for the body compare to acidic. So Kangen water ionizer claim to be great, anyone here can give me more advice or other alternatives?

These manufacturers are trying to create a market for their products by propagating all these lies about the merits of alkaline water.

Our bodies need an acidic environment for digestion and killing harmful germs and bacteria. Most fruits are acidic - citric acid from citrus fruits etc.

Believing all these is as good as believing in all the 'gold investments companies'

In Spore Best Denki sells alkanizing units for about $700. May not have all the bells & whistles of a Kagen but I plan to get the cheap one, once I have my fluoride/chlorine filter installed.
