To divert the debate, the PAP used government resources to dig out 'dirt' on the Opposition. They could have easily spent a few hundred thousand of our tax dollars to gather info for this political attack.

If the PAP wants to prove that they are right, then Mr. Khaw should make his insinuation outside, without parliamentary immunity. I bet he wouldn't. He won't want to lose his millions in a lawsuit.

The PAP sets the rules to put the opposition on the backfoot and when the Opposition ctach up and play by the exact same rules, they start making allegation of cronyism.

If MND did not do the audit on the town council in the first place and made an issue about the late submission, the software issue would not have surfaced in the first place.

I read somewhere that the existing PAP TC contractors were pressured not to tender for opposition TC projects. Perhaps it the fear that they won't get any PAP TC contracts that all the industry players choose to opt out of AHTC tender leaving only FMSS as he sole bidder.

My respect For this lady Sylvia Lim has gone up couple of notches. Taking on the mighty PAP, a cabinet Minister is no easy task.

It wasn't so much the ad hominem attack I take issue with - it's part of debate. But also part of parliamentary debate is that you always refer to your opponent in the third person, which he initially did. Then, he seemed to have lost control when he said, "Please, don’t behave as if you’re the only patriot in this House."

He would have done better to say, "Ms Lim of Aljunied GRC should perhaps not behave as if she were the only patriot in the House." Small changes in words but big changes in tone. As I'd said earlier - badly brought up.

I prefer to call it the establishment mentality, because it has now spread far and wide beyond the ol'fart, even to some who claim to be against the establishment but actually have their mentality, including in this forum.

That's why I always get pissed off when there are people trying to tell others what they should do, how they should behave, and particularly who they should believe, even when these others are not harming or hurting anybody.

I do not know nor think that any of you are patriots in Parliament. One thing is clear: The length of service and the fucking failure and inability to perform is clear indication of criminal failure in serving the people. The verdict is guilty and maximum sentence for treason should be meted out. Play acting patriotism is not important. Action is an KHAW is a seditious threat to SGP.
