Democratic Action Party (DAP) chairman Karpal Singh said the party will contest under the Parti Islam SeMalaysia (PAS) logo for the Peninsula and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) logo in Sabah and Sarawak in the upcoming election.

The decision was made after Registrar of Societies' (ROS) failed to respond, Malaysiakini reported.

DAP had appealed to the ROS to withdraw its Wednesday's letter to suspend the party's existing central executive committee but till Friday afternoon the department has not responded.

"Following this, we will do as what was decided yesterday and contest under the PAS logo in Peninsular and PKR for Sabah and Sarawak," he said when contacted.
